Vietri sul Mare Donkey | Amalfi Coast Series Art Print

The donkey figurine from Vietri sul Mare is one of the town’s most recognizable symbols. While today the ciucciariello is mostly associated with souvenirs, for centuries it helped locals in their daily work. In my artwork, it appears as a mechanical version - perhaps better suited to its challenging life.

Vietri sul Mare, known as the gateway to the Amalfi Coast, is much more than just a point on the map! Its lively streets, ceramics, the Torre di Crestarella, and the cascading steps of Villa Comunale served as inspiration - traces of them can be found in my Ciuccio Meccanico.
